5'2" blacksmith/metal engraver, Norah Bourbon first tried blacksmithing in the fall of 2007. It's been her hobby on and off since then, but in the fall of 2015 she started learning from blacksmith, Jim Ellis. She volunteers at his shop once a week, from May to November, to keep the fire going, give demonstrations to people stopping by and expand her knowledge of this beautiful craft. She has learnt so much from Jim, who has generously passed down what he's learnt from his father and men before him. Norah now carries the lessons that have been passed down since 1908.
Metal engraving is Norah's main line of work. She incorporates this craft into some of her products sold on this website.
